Michael F. Moran

Michael F. Moran is the managing partner at Moran Law. He has devoted his entire practice to the representation of victims of elder abuse and nursing home litigation. Mr. Moran has significant trial experience, having tried over 150 jury trials to verdict throughout California. He has over 37 years of experience as an attorney, including extensive experience as a civil defense trial attorney and working in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Moran has obtained millions/multimillion verdicts and arbitration awards for elderly victims of abuse and neglect throughout the State of California and Settlements in excess of a million dollars and is a member of the exclusive Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mr. Moran was recently recognized by the California Advocates of Nursing Home Reform (CANHR) for his trial advocacy by being awarded the William F. Taylor Memorial Award.

Mr. Moran is actively involved with CANHR in an effort to preserve and protect the rights of victims of elder abuse. He speaks annually at CANHR’s annual elder law conference for continuing education on elder abuse issues. In addition, he has served as a speaker on elder abuse issues for Continuing Education for the Bar (CEB) for the State Bar of California, various community and professional organizations throughout the State of California, and has been a guest speaker on KRLA 870 regarding elder abuse issues. Further, in an effort to improve the quality of patient care in nursing homes to our elders, Mr. Moran has and continues to provide In-Service Education on quality care issues to the nurses, staff, and administration at nursing homes and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) in Southern California, at no cost.

Mr. Moran has attained the highest possible rating of “AV” by Martindale Hubbell, the national directory of attorneys, for preeminent legal ability and ethics.

Mr. Moran was selected to the awarded Super Lawyer status every year since 2014 thru the present/2022. America’s Top 100 Personal Injury lawyers for 2019 and 2022. 

Mr. Moran holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Western State University School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
