Ms. Moran, BSN, joined Moran Law in 2009 as the firm’s in-house legal nurse consultant. At Moran Law, Ms. Moran coordinates all aspects of the firms medical team, to include the firm medical doctor consultant and all other medical disciplines. Karen works with all of the attorneys on each and every case; assisting on all medical issues throughout the case completion.

Ms. Moran is part of the firm’s Intake Committee , assessing the merits of all cases accepted by the firm.
Ms. Moran, in her capacity as an elder abuse neglect specialist, has assisted the attorneys with several high profile cases resulting in outstanding settlements and verdicts for our clients by applying her extensive nursing experience and medical knowledge to in-depth analysis of medical-legal issues and medical record reviews.

Ms. Moran’s clinical background includes both medical-surgical in acute care settings and home health nursing. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University in 1980, Ms Moran worked as a surgical floor nurse at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital Syracuse, New York. In 1983, Ms. Moran moved to California and worked for the Visiting Nurse Association of Orange County for 18 years first as a field nurse providing patient care, and then Clinical Manager for the last eight years of her career at the Visiting Nurse Association.

From 2001-2009, Ms. Moran joined St. Joseph Home Health where she was a Clinical Manager, Nurse Recruiter and a member of the Quality Assurance Utilization Review Committee.
